FAST β Defence Equity Facility 2.0: Call for Expression of Interest for Investment Funds
FAST will allocate EUR 100 million to the Defence Equity Facility 2.0, a pan-European fund-of-funds implemented by the European Investment Fund (EIF), providing equity support to SMEs, start-ups, and small mid-caps to increase defence manufacturing capacities. Fund managers may apply through a dedicated call for Expression of Interest to be published in Q2/Q3 2026.

Funding to ramp up defence production capacity for energetic components including propellant powder, explosives, propulsion systems, warheads, electronic fuses, filling plants, and access to relevant raw materials. Lump sum grants of up to 35% of eligible costs (up to 50% under certain conditions). Maximum EU contribution of EUR 30 million per project.
EDIP USI Industrial Reinforcement Action β 1st Call: Missiles, Ammunitions, and Bombs
Ukraine Support Instrument call to reinforce Ukrainian and EU defence industrial production capacity for air defence missiles and ammunition (including counter-UxS systems), deep strike capabilities, and rockets, smart bombs and loitering munitions. Funding rate up to 100% of eligible costs; maximum EU contribution EUR 30 million per project; total budget EUR 180 million.

EDIP USI Industrial Reinforcement Action β 2nd Call: Unmanned Systems and Counter-Unmanned Systems
Ukraine Support Instrument call to reinforce production capacity for unmanned systems (UxS) and counter-unmanned systems, including EW-resilient UxS variants, UxS interceptors, and counter-UxS and EW-resilient supporting systems. Total budget EUR 80 million; maximum EU contribution EUR 10 million per project; funding rate up to 100% of eligible costs.
