Grants supporting common procurement of defence equipment such as counter-drone, air and missile defence, and ground and naval combat systems by consortia of contracting authorities from EU Member States and Norway. Total programme budget EUR 240 million; maximum EU contribution EUR 20 million per project.

Second call for grants supporting common procurement of defence equipment including counter-drone, air and missile defence, and ground and naval combat systems, open to consortia of national contracting authorities from EU Member States and Norway. Maximum EU contribution EUR 20 million per project.

FAST will allocate EUR 100 million to the Defence Equity Facility 2.0, a pan-European fund-of-funds implemented by the European Investment Fund (EIF), providing equity support to SMEs, start-ups, and small mid-caps to increase defence manufacturing capacities. Fund managers may apply through a dedicated call for Expression of Interest to be published in Q2/Q3 2026.

Open, permanent call inviting universities, research institutions, business schools, startups, SMEs, and national authorities to join the EU Space Networks as Ambassadors (Copernicus, Galileo/EGNOS, SSA/STM, IRIS², EU Space) to promote EU space data and services and bridge skills and data-usage gaps across sectors.

Open call seeking legal entities with demonstrated experience in the EU and/or Ukrainian defence drone and counter-drone ecosystem to become founding members of the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance, an industry-led initiative linking R&D with production to build a comprehensive European drone and counter-drone capability in cooperation with Ukraine.

Funding to ramp up defence production capacity for energetic components including propellant powder, explosives, propulsion systems, warheads, electronic fuses, filling plants, and access to relevant raw materials. Lump sum grants of up to 35% of eligible costs (up to 50% under certain conditions). Maximum EU contribution of EUR 30 million per project.

Ukraine Support Instrument call to reinforce Ukrainian and EU defence industrial production capacity for air defence missiles and ammunition (including counter-UxS systems), deep strike capabilities, and rockets, smart bombs and loitering munitions. Funding rate up to 100% of eligible costs; maximum EU contribution EUR 30 million per project; total budget EUR 180 million.

Funding to increase manufacturing capacities for key electronic components including guidance electronics, propulsion electronics, RF and laser modules, multispectral cameras, avionics, PCBs and IC substrates, lithium-ion polymer batteries, power electronics and critical semiconductor building blocks. Total topic budget EUR 122.25 million; maximum EU contribution EUR 20 million per project.

Funding to increase manufacturing capacity for defence platforms and end-products covering forging/machining, key sub-systems, composites materials, assembly/integration, Manufacturing as a Service, and dual-use heavy industry conversion for defence surge. Total topic budget EUR 152.75 million; maximum EU contribution EUR 30 million per project.

Ukraine Support Instrument call to reinforce production capacity for unmanned systems (UxS) and counter-unmanned systems, including EW-resilient UxS variants, UxS interceptors, and counter-UxS and EW-resilient supporting systems. Total budget EUR 80 million; maximum EU contribution EUR 10 million per project; funding rate up to 100% of eligible costs.

Multiple cut-off call for expressions of interest for In-Orbit Demonstration/Validation (IOD/IOV) actions, open to experiments needing aggregation and to ready-to-fly IOD/IOV satellites, with upcoming cut-off dates in October 2026 and March 2027.
